Copper sinks in the kitchen?

I'm about to build a new home and want a copper sink in the kitchen, but wonder sustainability. I do not want a product that will not last forever. I am also concerned because some websites say you can not absorb the dishes that have acid-base grain in them. To tomatoes, for example? Has anyone had experience with this? I do not use stainless because we use the bronzeish / brown and taps me fighting steel. Personally, I like the durability of stainless steel (and price). Other problems is that we want to wear an apron / type of exploitation of the pit … Give me your thoughts and recommendations please!
