What kind of soil is best for durabilility and low maintenance in a new version at home?
From our friends are building a new home. They like the traditional look of hardwood, laminates compared to the versions, but I want something with more durability and less maintenance. We have heard that Bamboo blows with ease. Can anyone offer any suggestions? Also looking for different options on the floor of the bathroom. Thanks!
We have always had pre-finished wood and are very durable. Pre-finished floors have several coats of polyurethane, leaving the proper drying time, giving them a finish hard. I've never found the wooden floor high-maintenance. Quite the contrary. I love its ease of cleaning. The bathrooms have to be of stone or ceramic. With moisture in the bathroom, floors should be able to handle moisture and stone or ceramic are easy to clean. I much prefer the stones, since they are not slippery. Travertine and choice very similar options anywhere in a house.
