Can you turn a wind up watch into a battery powered one?
I have this old watch which I really like. However, I always forget to wind it and slowly it goes out of sync. So I was just wandering whether a watchmaker can turn a wind up watch into a battery powered or self winding one? Thanks
Only by removing and replacing the guts of it. They might be able to preserve the case and dial. The result would likely be worth less than the cost of the conversion.
