How do I set the adjustment on a Troy-bilt Horse 7 hp as I cannot get the shifter into reverse?
The reverse wheel that is attached to the motor will not go down far enough to contact the rotor or round deal on the transmission.Also I have to hold the shifter up to go forward.
Id say the wheel is worn out – theres some adjustment, as it has a allen head nut holding it to the motor shaft.
Double check everything- see if there arent any more adjustability factors. If there arent, then replacement seems the best course, as im sure it wears over time .
