Can a leaf blower / vacuum safely vacuum straw ?

I recently had my back yard installed and the contractor put down straw over the new grass. Now that the grass is in, I’d like to rake the straw up into piles. My Poulan Pro BVM200VS Blower/Vac has a bag attachment and I was wondering if it would hurt it to vacuum up the straw.

like any vacum “cleaner”~if it will “pull the straw throgh to the collection bag ~it is suitable.~just give it time to pull a “load ” through ~then pick up more
