What sink to choose with granite worktop?
We’ve chosen the granite, but can’t decide about what type of sink to go for – undermount or overmount, i.e. stainless steel. I do a lot of cooking and am worried that if I choose an undermount double bowl sink (one side for washing and another bowl for draining) that the granite edges will become scuffed. Any advice please?
I have granite and an undermount – it makes cleaning a BREEZE since you can just wipe stuff directly into the sink and not have it get stuck under the sink rim. Your granite will not get scuffed – it is a rock – it is basically indestructible unless you plan on hitting it with a hammer or something of that nature. Get a good quality sink – one that has padding on the bottom so it’s not so noisy. Ours is a Blanco – got it on eBay. It’s got one really deep side (11″) and the other side is 9″ deep – works great!! You’re going to love your granite!!
