What would cause an electric water heater’s internal circuit breaker to constantly trip itself?
The unit is a Bradford White, 40 Gallon, model # MI 40560513. It is less than 5 years old. This problem first occured approximately one week ago. Since I have to reset the breaker at least twice daily.
# 1 thing to do is cut off the circuit breaker look and see if you have any water on or by the unit. you have 1or2 panel on the unit in side the you have heater element see if water coming from it .if you do it Willl have to be replace. you wil need a element wrench to screw it off. i hope this help you…….cedgho……ps.you need to drain the heater water you will also need to re place the upper ane lower themostat
