Will BFG All Terrains that fit on my 20×9 in. factory chrome wheels on my Dodge Ram fit on 20×8.5 in. wheels?

I have a 2002 Dodge Ram with the factory 20×9 (they ARE 20×9, correct?) inch chrome wheels and put some pretty big BFG All Terrains on them, though I dont know the size of the tires offhand. Anyway, I see some aftermarket 20×8.5 inch wheels that I want. Will the same tires that fit the 9 inch wide wheels fit the 8.5 inch wide wheels? And the factory rims from dodfe in 02 ARE 20x9in. right?

They will fit if the diameter is the same and you won’t notice a difference between an 8.5 and 9 inch rim.
