Polaris Trail Boss 250 engine oil to the crankcase?

While rebuilding my engine 1986 trail boss 250 (Crank Bearings gone) I noticed a good amount of oil (as oil injection) in the bottom of the engine. Before starting the engine for the first time, you should add oil the crankcase? And if so, how? Thanks in advance!
