Is there anyway I can fix a digital camera that got water damaged?

I new it was a stupid idea, i took a couple pictures down by the lake on a windy day. I had it on a tripod after the couple pics i was like okay, i better get it away from water before i mess it all up.. but too late. A gust of wind blew it over my tripod went into the lake i swung my hand trying to save it but my camera was all ready in the lake.

DONT TRY TO TURN IT ON!
It will fry it completely.
A house hold remedy is to sick it in a bag of rice for a couple of days.
The rice would help absorb moisture.
Leave it out in the sun for a little bit to to help evaporate all of the water.
Then stick the blow dryer on it.
When your ready,
See if it will work.
MAKE SURE YOU ARE ALMOST POSITIVE THE WATER IS OUT!
Oh yea,
Take the battery and stuff out then do all that stuff.
My sidekick fell in the toilet last year,
I took everything out and blow dryed it.
It had some glitches but still worked.
