How does soap throw off the PH balance?
I always use soap and body wash and it smell like grape fruit.
Now people are telling me that soap is bad an only to use water, to clean down there. Water doesn’t eliminate the smell though, unless you spread your legs under the faucet. What is the safe way to wash it and to keep the PH balance going well?

I have a feeling you’re talking about your vagina, and yes, it’s true that the vagina naturally has a pH balance that keeps it healthy. When you wash with regular soap, it affects the balance and actually can help change the vagina’s environment so that odor-causing bacteria breed even more!
Using a mild, nonscented soap, like glycerin soap, is probably best.
But I’d also caution that if you don’t have vaginal problems using what you’re using now, and don’t notice a bad smell, you don’t have to change over to a different soap.
