What is a reasonable estimate for repairing a burst pipe leading to an outside faucet?
The pipe cracked between siding on the outside and an interior wall, about 6 inches from the outside wall on the inside. There is insulation in between. I noticed the leak when water ran through the siding on the outside and through the bottom of the wall on the inside. The crack appears to be on the copper pipe between the plastic line and the faucet itself.
Just to repair the pipe will be around $100. That cost will pay the plumber for an hours time and minor parts. Although he may recommend a new faucet that is not prone to freezing.
