Holw to take out a Diverter Valve from a one valve w/ sidespray Pegasus kitchen faucet?

I am searching for information on how to remove a diverter valve from a one valve w/ sidespray Pegasus faucet. I was told at Home Depot where it was bought that if I bring in the diverter valve on a weekday Monday – Friday and if they don’t have what I am need of that they would point to where should be able to get a replacement diverter valve. Please and thank you for any and all help that helps me be able to reach my goal.

do you mean a single lever faucet>? If so remove handle,unscrew cap that holds cartridge in place,remove cartridge,you will see three openings bottom two are hot and cold water supply,top one is your diverter. And whle your at home depot curse the idiot that sold you a pegasus faucet!
