Why is the Yahoo spam filter does not work at all?

Why should I go through my Yahoo e-mails every day to filter out spam, a Yahoo Notifier is spam, yet each day and even the garbage back. I also use Gmail and do not have this problem somehow Gmail filters all the spam.

I never cease to amaze me by some individuals. Yahoo is the world's leading provider of free e-mail. If you have a Gmail account, why are you here to complain about Yahoo's free email? If you do not like, and can not understand how to configure your spam filter, stick WTH just Gmail. As for William, his answer stinks, too.
