how can i put a bypass valve or filter on a K&N cold air intake?

im thinking about buying this universal bypass filter that ive seen on ebay but not sure if i should get it. i dont want to risk buying a piece of junk that wont work but i cant really judge it so what do yah think i should do buy it or not. and is there some other way i can get a bypass filter for my cold air intake
