What is a good commercial fishing vessel to purchase?
Please forgive my lack of an adequate description. The fishing vessel will be used in the Gulf of Mexico off the Florida coast (St. Pete, FL.).
Without knowing what kind of fishing you’ll be doing & where, I can’t give you the right answer. However, I’d suggest checking the harbor where you intend to keep the boat and ask those that are in the business what their opinions are of their boat.
Just looked up the info about you on your id, and I see it’s in Gulf of Mexico, Florida, where the fishing will be done. Per my husband, get a boat that is built in Cape Hatteras, which designs the best heavy water commercial fishing boats. They are big and old, and real good boats, especially if you equip it with a new engine. The most important thing is a good engine! And a good GPS also!
