how do i protect cabinet edge from bumps and scratches?

The edge of my newly installed wooden cabinet got scratched and bumped by chairs and furniture pushed against it. How can I protect the cabinet.
I think I know what you mean. This is the clear plastic that is also used to protect the corners of wallpapered walls.

Buy a clear outside corner molding of the correct length or longer and cut it. Install it so the chairs will strike it. Any home store like Home Depot or a hardware store. You can drill the plastic or glue it on. Ask at the store for the right glue.
