people help me with information about the erie canal please?
here questions:
AGRICULTURE- N# 3: The canal was 42 feet wide and only 4 feet deep. How could a boat be built to travel in such shallow water? How did the boats move through the canal? Did people live on these boats?
N# 5: Many goods and raw materials as well as agricultural products were shipped back and forth through the Erie Canal / Hudson River. Some of these products might have been.
