Bathrooms – How to Achieve an Ultra-Modern Look

If you’re not a fan of the recent trend for antique vanities or the European rustic theme take a look at some of the very latest bathroom remodeling ideas in a futuristic style.

There is aluminum strip along the edges of the ‘box’ and the wall attachment is also aluminum. The Flos Company is famous for its experimental shapes and cutting-edge designs. The Ontherocks light fixture takes one Max 200w R7 halogen light which will emit a super-bright, white light and create an ultra-modern atmosphere. The dimensions are 95mm x 305mm x 90mm and this bathroom wall light costs $255.

And for a super-modern look to your basin taps why not have them wall-mounted; it looks great! The Ultra Helix Levers Wall Mounted Bathroom Basin Tap has two straight levers and the spout has a simple downward curve. These modern-looking taps are available from Ultra Faucets online and cost $60.

Or if you prefer the idea of a cutting edge vanity unit instead of the old-style Sear’s vanities, you could take a look at the Dreamline Modern Wood Wall Mount Vanity Unit. It looks like a small, sleek walnut finished box with smooth rounded corners attached to the wall and if like to be different, this is a great bathroom remodeling idea. Always try to buy Olefin made rugs as it doesn’t absorb moisture much and it’s fade resistant and mildew resistant. A cream or sand colored wall to wall rug would look super with the Walnut vanity unit and storage cupboards. If you prefer only white and metalic wall cabinets for your look, then a pale blue wall to wall rug would give you the clean, sharp appearance that would complement your other fixtures.

Bathroom curtains for a very modern room would look best if they were a light color like light blue or white either plain or with an abstract design. You can get shower curtains with futuristic abstract patterns too, although you must make sure that only one of your bathroom or shower curtains has a pattern on it.

If your remodeling ideas are pointing you towards a future-look, remember that you don’t only have to have everything in white. There are some Danish and Swedish companies producing fabulous modern-looking bathroom storage cabinets and vanities with a natural wood finish. So you can have a very futuristic look that includes color and natural materials and you aren’t just restricted to creating a clinical style.
