How well do Tapco brand detachable SKS magazines work?

How well do Tapco brand detachable SKS magazines work?

Specifically, can you attach and detach the magazine with the bolt forward?

I have a few metal 30rd mags that work great, Except I have to hold the bolt back (or use the bolt lock) to insert or remove the magazine. I would prefer something that I can remove or insert without having to mess with the bolt. By the way, my SKS is a genuine Russian Simonov model.

Jamapalooza. Tapco, with ALL other aftermarket detachable or extended magazines tend to suck. I have never heard of one working right. Waste of time, waste of money, waste of aspirin you will have to take from the headaches it will give you.

There is no such thing as a decent aftermarket magazine for the SKS. They either jam constantly or don’t work at all.
