How to Become a Curves Franchise
Curves is the largest fitness franchise in the world and the first to offer a 30-minute exercise program designed exclusively for women. Curves is a business where earnings are measured by your service to others. If you are passionate about helping women, and willing to work hard while having fun, then owning a Curves franchise may be right for you.
If a Curves franchise sounds right to you, you should be aware of the next steps. In the next couple of days, you will be contacted by a Curves sales specialist. They will provide you with a confidential user profile that you’ll need to complete and return as directed on the form. They will also provide you with information regarding available territories and answer any questions that you may have. Once you’ve selected a territory of interest, you’ll travel down one of two paths depending on the territory type.
New Territory
- You must submit your Confidential User Profile. This will be reviewed and approved.
- At approval, you’ll receive a contract and any local legal disclosures as required by the governing laws in your country and state. All fees are due at this time.
- You will locate a place of business for your club and you will submit this address for approval. Note, you may locate and submit a potential club address at any time in the process.
- You will be assigned Club Development Support Specialist who will begin your basic training and will also work with you to determine when to attend club camp.
- With the help of your CDS specialist, you’ll be on your way to opening your new Curves club.
Established Territory
If you contact a seller directly, some of the steps may vary from those listed below.
- You’ll need to submit a Confidential User Profile. This will be reviewed and preapproved. You will also receive a Buyer Information Authorization Form that will need to be filled out and returned to the Curves corporate offices.
- You will then be put into contact with the seller.
- You and the seller will determine terms of the sale.
- Once the terms are agreed to, the seller/owner will submit “intent to sell” paperwork to Curves International. Upon receipt, you will be sent a sales packet via email.
- You and the seller will complete the sales packet and return to the corporate offices for final approval. Once approved, you will need to provide a $1000 training fee to the Curves corporate office.
- After your agreement and transfer of ownership have been completed at the corporate office, you’ll be able to finalize your sale with the seller.
- You’ll then be assigned a Club Development Support Specialist who will begin your basic training and will also work with you to determine when to attend Club Camp. With the help of your CDS Specialist, you’ll be on your way to a Re-Grand Opening of your Curves club.
Ready to begin? Please fill out and return your Confidential User Profile as soon as you receive it. Make sure you leave no blanks. If a field does not apply to you, enter N/A. If multiple owners are to be listed on the contract with Curves, all potential owners will need to fill out a Confidential User Profile.
